Who has been your biggest inspiration throughout your life?

“I would say my mom has been my biggest inspiration because everyone loves her. Even if someone was not kind to my mom she is always very kind to them.”

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?

“The most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to me is probably when I was in 5th grade my brother shaved off my eyebrows so I had to go to school with no eyebrows for a few months.”

Who is your favorite band?

“My favorite band is 3 Days Grace because their songs actually mean something unlike others that just talk about breaking up and making up.”

If you could rewind and redo anything in your life what would you do?

“If I could rewind and redo anything in my life I would probably say I love you to my mom every single day because I never do.”

What is your favorite song to play?

“My favorite song to play is probably one of our stand shorties because it’s just so upbeat and fun. I’ve been playing it since the beginning of this year.”

What has music done for your life?

“Music has kept me going through a lot of hard times. Whenever people in my family have passed away music there for me and is able to be help me get through it.”

Teacher Interview: Mr. Owens

“Katherine Shaffer is a nice and energetic young lady.  She has been a great addition to our band program this year.  She does a great job in our marching band and has been doing well in our concert band as well.  I am proud of her for being involved in our program along with all of the other things that she does, and balancing them out very well.

Katherine is a kindhearted freshman girl who cares deeply for her family and hopes to carry music with her throughout the rest of her life.
