Lucy Boyle, Managing Editor, Online Manager, A&E Editor
When it comes to sophomore Lucy Boyle’s favorite things, Gilmore Girls is at the top of her list.
“I joined newspaper because I watch Gilmore Girls a lot and found inspiration in Rory,” Boyle said. “I love writing and how creative you can be with it.”
When Boyle isn’t busy pursuing her goal of becoming a therapist and attending Boston University, she’s the Managing, Online and A&E Editor for The Bell. She’s also part of Technology Student Association, Stream Team and EDGE’s Yearbook Committee. Boyle serves as Kintsugi Literary Magazine’s secretary and marketing/publications team member and Key Club’s sophomore secretary as well.
“In your sophomore year of high school, you can be a part of a lot of things and get a lot done,” Boyle said. “I see my friends pursuing their jobs, hobbies and sports. I find inspiration in that.”
Boyle’s favorite part of The Bell is the staff and community-based atmosphere it creates. She hopes to maintain it with her leadership positions this year.
“I like how much opportunity Liberty High School has given us,” Boyle said. “The teachers are amazing, there are so many clubs and EDGE which has really helped me learn.”
Boyle’s motto-to-live-by is: “it’s okay to fail.”
“You find success in those trials and learn from them,” Boyle said.
