Sarah Blankenship, Co copyeditor, Co Sports, & Features Editor
Junior Sarah Blankenship is more than just the quiet, reserved girl she appears to be. In one conversation, most will realize that she is a caring person with big aspirations. This school year, Blankenship hopes to utilize her creativity and determination to reach her goals as a reporter.
Blankenship’s favorite part of newspaper is informing people about what’s happening in the world around them. Her hope is that she will be able to reach new strides as a co copyeditor, co sports editor, and features editor.
“I want to be able to better the school, and community through newspaper and my writing,” Blankenship said.
Aside from being a writer, Blankenship enjoys soccer and hanging with friends.
“I play for KC Fusion, and I also play for the women’s soccer team at Liberty high school.”
Although Blakenship loves soccer, she doesn’t necessarily want to make a career out of it. However, she feels that newspaper will be in her life for a long time.
“I want to go to Mizzou and major in journalism,” Blankenship said. “I wanna do journalism as a job, and possibly work for The New York Times.”
